COUPLES THERAPY
You may love each other deeply and still feel stuck. Many couples come to therapy feeling caught in the same arguments, disconnected from one another, struggling with intimacy, or wondering whether their relationship can improve.
I work with couples who want to:
-
Stop having the same fight over and over.
-
Communicate their emotions and needs more effectively.
-
Feel understood and emotionally connected again.
-
Break patterns of pursuing, withdrawing, criticism, or defensiveness.
-
Rebuild trust after relationship injuries.
-
Improve physical and emotional intimacy.
-
Navigate parenting, life transitions, or chronic stress together.
-
Decide whether to repair the relationship or separate thoughtfully.
My approach is grounded primarily in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most extensively researched approaches to couples therapy. I have completed advanced EFT training, including Externship, Core Skills, Beyond Core Skills, and over 100 hours of consultation and supervision. I also draw from the Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy.
Couples therapy is not about determining who is right or wrong. Together, we identify the patterns that keep you stuck, help you understand the emotions underneath those patterns, and create new experiences of safety, connection, and responsiveness.
